The Activities that were carried out throughout the project meeting in  Moreni, Romania

The partners were welcome  in the Romanian traditional way with bread, salt and flowers.

The Romanian students proposed a little game in which they were not Romanian anymore but citizens of the partnership’s country. Each of them made a presentation of each country referring to its geography, culture and civilization   and in the end the partners had to guess the name of the country. As soon as everybody had guessed, the representatives of the countries were offered a symbolic gift consisting in a mug which was personalized with the name of partnership and folk costumes of each country, and they also were given some magnets with the places they were going to visit on the documentation trips for getting in touch with the Romanian culture and civilization.

 In the work session there were made the presentations of the partners’ countries (PPT) and there were workshops in which there were discussed the aspects regarding the proper unfolding and management of the project: planning, activities, solutions for unexpected problems:

-  there were established each partner’s responsibilities 

-   there were discussed issues regarding the management and unfolding of our project website(we also talked about the fields of the website and what each of them should contain) and the management  and unfolding of our project on a Twin-space

- there were settled the responsibilities of the Students’ Wisdom Committee

-we talked about the establishment of The Transnational Students’ Wisdom Committee and their responsibilities

On Wednesday , 16^th October 2013

There was a documentation trip in connection to the topic of our project in which we had guided tour of the Palace of Parliament (People’s Palace) which represented a facet of the Romanian history in the Communist regime . We had a great experience at The Village Museum and at The Romanian Peasant’s Museum and we also saw exhibits of  Romanian handicraft at  a Romanian traditional fair in Bucharest.

We had a workshop in which we discussed the common points between  the Romanian folk traditions and customs,  the Romanian culture and civilization and the partner countries, we also mentioned what differentiates us in term of architecture, folk craft and traditions.

Evaluation of the day ‘s activities

On Thursday ,17^th October 2013

We had another documentation trip to Brasov in which we visited  the Museum of Ethnography. We wanted to establish the difference between myth, legend and reality and we saw  Bran Castle , moment at which the Romanians explained who Vlad the Impaler really was.

On returning from the documentation trip we had a working session in which we had group work that talked about  national heritage between reality and myth and the partners made a comparison between their legends and the Romanian ones , comparisons between their ethnography and the items they had seen on the documentation trip.

On Friday, 18^th October 2013

There was established the way in which the Project Evaluation Team for each partner is chosen and also there were settled the members’ responsibilities.

- discussions about the final products In Turkey(  1.- a video collection of traditions that people have at important events in their lives and 2. -a Power Point presentation on customs, beliefs when human beings are born, get married, have children or die and _)

-  discussions about and agreement on the proper date for the next two Project meetings (in Norway and Spain)

- communication management

- solutions for unexpected problems
